Shofu Tha Beatdown!
Fanart of content creator Shofu Tha Beatdown! This was more experimentation with fighting-game like sprite-work. I tried to work in a lot of secondary motion in the pant legs and hair. The tightness of the tank-top required a bit more creativity to get some motion in the material.

Pong... but curvier!
Outwardly this appears to be a simple take on the much adored Pong, but the interesting twists make this a fresh new take on a time-tested experience. The ball can be curved, sliced, angled and aimed for an extreme amount of skill expression. Additionally, paddle sizes and special abilities can also be selected! One of the cool parts about this game is that it was made in 2 days with every single image being drawn in-engine (0 sprites)!

Game Developer
Kyle Sun is a Taiwan born, U.S. based
Embedded Software Engineer and
Freelance Artist.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and
self taught artist of over a decade. His
passions are in any creative endeavor, be it art,
programming, storytelling, or even cooking. He
specializes in Web Development/Design and
Game Development. His well-rounded experience
from front-end to back-end gives him a
unique perspective to be able to
solve problems and
facilitate communication between teams.
Kyle is currently employed full-time as an
embedded software engineer working on a
variety of embedded devices in fields ranging from
civil to medical. His work has
provided him with opprotunities to touch all
branches of software and even some hardware. He has
made front-end web UIs,
back-end cloud services,
unit-test suites, and numerous embedded
functions on bare-metal devices including
FOTA and
custom lightweight GUI libraries .
Kyle took his very first art commission in middle
school, and art been a
fiery creative outlet for him ever since.
While he took a few art classes in high school, his
later education focused more on programming, so his
art skills had to come from his
own practice and experimentation. He's been
able to garner a significant chunk of attention,
especially relating to his
pixel art work for games and websites over
the years. Now, he focuses on using his developed
skills to
breathe life into the worlds of the games
he is developing.
With such a unyielding drive for creativity,
game development was the
only logical conclusion. Taking a part from a
each of the creative arts (drawing, music, sound
design, writing, programming, etc.), game
development is both the
unconquerable beast and
destined fate for Kyle. The development
process has been an arduous trek. His
finished games have been short, mainly made for
game-jams. Along the path of his game development
journey lies the promises of return made to
many half-finished projects. One day, when there is
enough time,
Kyle will complete a full fledged game of his
own .
